I was just reading Harry Frankfurt’s 1986 essay “On Bullshit.” While discussing another essay, “The Prevalence of Humbug” by Max Black, he gives the following example:

Ahead of the semiquincentennial celebration of the 4th of July, which will surely feature plenty of Trump, I thought it was quite apposite.

Edit: I am reminded of two related terms one might find useful:
The Gish Gallop is a technique in which someone overwhelms their interlocutor through a sheer quantity of arguments without regard for their accuracy.
Brandolini’s Law states that “the amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it.”
